• A mini triumph. In the last week of August we got to interview Geoffrey Miller who's just written a book called 'Spent; Sex, Evolution and Consumerism'. He's an American 'demic and was over for a conference in Oxford. The interview was absolutely fascinating and should amount to a core thread for 'You are the Revolution'.

• Unfortunately this is also the month I've fallen out of love with the Le Mans 55 film. It happens with all films. The excitement of discovering the story, meeting the interviewees and then massaging out scenes that have real emotional heart slowly dissolves in to niggly bits that get re-worked to staleness and technical nightmares.
  
  That said Dave and Brain Gray have done a great job putting sound on the old archive. If you ever watch just imagine that every bit of archive was originally silent.
