On the work front
we have sooooooo nearly finished the Kilimanjaro
film. And it's looking okay. Unfortunately
the tapes were gathering dust for over
a year but like a fine vintage out of the
cellar (that hasn't been corked), a bit
of spit and polish, a gentle period of breathing
and all is well. Every time I look through
it I can't help marvelling at how generous
and candid Paul, Jamie, Pete and David have
been. They are stars. Hopefully if those
Kendal boys like it, it should be premiered
there. It should also be on the way to the
Amsterdam Doc Fest.
Also recently Ben has
been out in the valley following that thin
stick boy Jack Osbourne. Jack has been in
training for a six months, the apple in
his eye, El Capitan. A brief e-mail from
Ben said all had gone smoothly. He now doing
a bit of climbing himself.
Also this summer we finished
the BMC
Winter Essentials DVD package.
Unfortuanely that damn Scottish weather
was just too good and we ended out coming
back with too many bloody tapes. It took
forever to edit but hopefully the result
has been worth it. The highlight is this
fella Tom talking about avalanches for 21
minutes solid - sounds boring but it really
is quality info that hits the bulls eye.
For those that loved
Eve's film Made
in Sheffield, good news. She's
rounded up a bit of cash and is gonna
make the follow-up. Keep you posted.
