Which format is for you?

PAL is normally for: UK, Europe and Australia NTSC is normally for USA, Canada and Japan

On DVD things are slightly different because PAL players will convert NTSC so NTSC is okay for PAL regions.

How to check which you should buy:
If in doubt, have a look at DVDs and videos you already own and they should tell you on the box which format they are in.
